The story
On this November day, the leaves hold small fields of orange and coral against a deep green surround. Light catches their puckered surfaces and traces the fine veins toward pointed tips. One leaf divides almost evenly between warm colour and green; another carries only a narrow streak of brightness. The eye moves slowly between them, finding a different balance of ember and shadow in each.
