A Measure Of Green

About this piece
Paired oval leaflets fill the frame, their slender yellow-green stems tracing gently angled lines across a dark ground. Luminous color reveals fine veins and scattered blemishes, while selective focus softens the outer layers into a quiet rhythm of repetition.
The story
On this November day, the frame holds a world of green. Light follows each slender stem, then spreads through the small oval leaflets, revealing their delicate branching veins. A few brown marks interrupt the pattern, giving each repeated shape its own distinction. Between the rows, deep shadow leaves room for the eye to rest.
