About this piece

Tall seed heads rise through dense red foliage beneath a brilliant sun and an amber sky. Backlighting traces the plants in pale gold, while a bare tree at the right balances the central glare. The layered stems and saturated color give this November landscape an intense, suspended stillness.

The story

November opens a bright space above the tangled stems. Each drooping seed head catches a thin edge of light, standing clear of the red leaves behind it. At the right, a tree lifts its bare branches into the amber sky. The season gathers in these contrasting textures: foliage still holding color, seeds waiting, branches already stripped.
