The story
On this October day, light gathers along the shell’s pale bands and glints in the droplets held against its ridges. The sand beneath it breaks into gold, amber, and tiny points of shadow. Beyond, the surf becomes a soft white ribbon, its movement set against the shell’s stillness. For a moment, the shore seems to hold its attention on this one small spiral.
