About this piece
Red railings frame a wooden bridge amid sculpted shrubs and tall pines, drawing the eye toward the dense garden beyond. Warm timber and rounded foliage balance the bridge’s measured geometry beneath an expansive, cloud-filled sky.
The story
I framed the bridge from its entrance, letting the red rails draw my eye into the green. Beyond the wooden boards, the garden seemed to gather itself in layers: clipped leaves, branching trunks, and pine crowns against the clouds. I wanted to hold that small interval before crossing, when a path is still an invitation and the view ahead has not yet unfolded into separate steps.
