Where Green Gathers

Water beads across long green leaves that rise and curve outward from a tightly layered center. Selective focus draws attention to the droplets and fine brown margins, while the surrounding foliage dissolves into soft planes of green and ochre.

The story

I moved closer until the leaves filled the frame and the place beyond them became a wash of color. What held my attention was the water: small beads scattered across broad surfaces, larger drops resting along an edge. I followed the curves inward with my lens, toward the dark folds where the leaves gathered. At this distance, even the browned margins belonged to the picture, tracing each blade through the green.
