A succession of brick arches narrows toward a dark central opening, creating a composition of pronounced depth and near symmetry. Warm lateral light reveals the weathered masonry and casts alternating bands across the rough floor, lending the empty passage a measured, contemplative stillness.

The story

In the first days of January, light enters the passage sideways and rests on the edges of the brickwork. Each arch repeats the curve of the one before it, growing smaller as the shadows gather. The rough ground catches narrow strips of brightness, marking a quiet route inward. At the far end, the light gives way to an opening whose depth remains unseen.
