A long steel bridge recedes toward the horizon, its blue girders held above turquoise water by a rhythmic sequence of sunlit, ochre-colored piers. The strong diagonal draws the eye into the distance, while rippled reflections soften the geometry below.
The story
I framed the bridge from the side, letting its length carry my eye out toward the thin line of the horizon. The blue steel seemed to borrow its color from the sky, while the piers held a warmer light above the water. Beneath them, each reflection broke into small, shifting pieces. I wanted to keep both rhythms in the frame: the measured repetition of the crossing and the restless surface it passed over.
