The story

I found myself looking past the red toward the small, pale shapes circling the flower’s center. They seemed to hold the bloom together, a quiet rhythm inside all that color. Through the lens, the droplets became separate points of light, and the overlapping petals revealed their uneven edges. I framed the flower closely, leaving darkness above it, wanting the image to hold both the force of its color and the delicacy of its surface.
