About this piece
A close view of a sports car brings its carbon-fiber weave, recessed headlights, and long, curved mirror into sculptural relief. Dappled sunlight and blue reflections animate the dark bodywork, while a blurred red car and green foliage establish a vivid backdrop.
The story
November sunlight catches the woven surface, drawing silver threads across the rounded bodywork. Above the headlights, a mirror extends on its slender stalk, holding a dark sliver of reflection. The red car behind dissolves into a bright field beneath the trees. Everything suggests speed, yet the frame rests on small, still things: a glint at an edge, blue within a lens, the repeating pattern beneath the gloss.
