Three closely moored boats fill the frame, their interiors crowded with coiled rope, fuel cans, tools, and bags. The story
On this late-June day, the boats rest shoulder to shoulder beside the dock. A yellow hose holds its neat coil; ropes and tool bags settle into the spaces around bright fuel cans. Blue paint breaks through the central boat’s worn brown interior in scattered patches. Below the sterns, the water carries wavering fragments of hull and motor. Everything waits within reach, and no one occupies the frame.
