Three small boats lie closely moored beside a dock, with a turquoise interior and yellow benches anchoring the composition. Daylight reveals worn paint, coiled ropes, and the heavy folds of a brown tarpaulin, while dark water gathers their reflections beneath the hulls. The tight framing turns an everyday mooring into a quiet arrangement of color and working textures.
The story
Late June light finds a bright turquoise hollow between two weathered hulls. Yellow benches cross the boat like measured pauses, with ropes lying slack across the floor. Orange life jackets rest beside wooden oars in the neighboring boat; a brown cover settles into deep folds on the other side. Below the outboard motor, the water holds a darker version of every color. Everything needed for departure remains here, at rest.
