A turquoise lagoon curves behind a pale beach beneath steep coastal hills, with a narrow road tracing the slopes. Sunlight catches golden grasses and exposed rock below a low blue-gray cloud layer. In the foreground, wooden posts and wire fencing lead the eye across red-green groundcover toward the sheltered water and open sea.
The story
Late June brings a wash of gold to the slope, while low cloud softens the ridge above. Beyond the weathered fence, the lagoon holds a quieter blue than the ocean. A thin line of surf whitens the sand, and the hillside road follows each fold of land. The eye travels outward from wire and wood until it reaches water with no boundary in sight.
