A suspension bridge spans the middle distance beyond a rock-lined breakwater, while moored sailboats gather along the right edge. In black and white, cloud-filtered light reveals the textures of stone, hillside, and rippled water; the bridge cables and clustered masts lend measured rhythm to the expansive sky.
The story
Late June light spreads through the cloud cover, laying a soft silver sheen across the harbor. Small figures pause along the breakwater, held between sheltered water and the open channel. The sailboats rest with their sails furled, their slender masts echoing the bridge’s vertical cables. Beyond this quiet enclosure, the span carries its thin line of traffic across the water.
