A white duck floats slightly right of center, its turned head and loosely lifted feathers set against blue-gray water. Light reveals the layered plumage while dark reflections trace widening curves around the bird, lending the composition a gentle, rhythmic stillness.
The story
On this late-June day, the duck rests low in the water, its white feathers catching the light. A few feather tips lift away from its back, fine and irregular against the smooth surface. Around its body, ripples stretch into dark ribbons and pale bands. Its reflection loosens beneath it, and each small movement travels outward beyond the frame.
