The story
On this December day, the world within the frame glows pink, purple, and scarlet. A small head appears at the edge of a leaf, its fine scales catching the light. Most of the gecko remains concealed behind the broad blade; only its face interrupts the sweep of color. For a moment, the foliage seems to look back.
