Filtered sunlight illuminates yellow-green leaves and segmented stems, while leaning canes cross the strong vertical rhythm. The empty walkway gives the lush enclosure a quiet, inviting depth.

The story

In early December, green fills the view from the leaf-strewn ground to the bright canopy. The boardwalk offers a measured way through the crowded stems, one shallow rise after another. Light rests on the worn planks and catches the pale surfaces of leaning bamboo. Farther ahead, the passage narrows, and the eye follows it beyond the last visible step.
