The story
July light settles on the empty chairs, tracing each slat onto the terrace below. Beyond the small table, gentle ripples loosen the reflections of clouds. A paddler crosses the middle distance, and a sailboat rests near the faint horizon. The two seats offer the same quiet invitation: to sit beside someone and leave the view uninterrupted.
