About this piece
Painted buoys hang in overlapping rows, led by a large orange-and-turquoise sphere at the right of the frame. Strong sunlight reveals its cracked, pitted surface, while shallow focus softens the surrounding yellow, red, and blue forms into a buoyant rhythm. Dark ropes and weathered brown floats anchor the saturated palette.
The story
On this March day, sunlight gathers in the rough skin of a painted buoy. Turquoise meets orange along an uneven edge, each ridge of paint holding a small highlight. Behind it, yellow and red shapes recede among dark cords and softened greenery. The hanging forms make a quiet curtain, their worn surfaces carrying as much presence as their brilliant color.
