About this piece
A close view of an open-top sports car brings its chrome mirror, angled windshield, and automobile-club decals into sharp focus. Strong sunlight scatters across the polished surfaces, where blue sky, trees, and surrounding buildings become curved reflections. The softly blurred street beyond gives the precise mechanical details a relaxed, public setting.
The story
On this November day, sunlight gathers along the windshield frame and flashes across the round mirror. The street contracts into its curved surface: trees, buildings, and small figures share a bright miniature world. Decals on the glass offer signs of allegiance and remembrance, held above the dark sweep of the bodywork. Beyond them, people soften into color while the parked car holds the sky.
