Green and cream stripes trace the length of arching leaves, creating a layered composition of intersecting curves. Selective focus gives the central foliage definition while the surrounding leaves dissolve into softer bands of color.
The story
I let the leaves fill the frame until there was no horizon, only green interrupted by pale ribbons. My attention settled on the point where the blades gathered, then followed their long curves outward. Some edges held their sharpness; others slipped into the foliage behind them. I wanted to keep that balance between clarity and tangle, the way a single plant can offer both a pattern and an escape from it.
