The story

I framed the sky as the four aircraft spread apart, watching their smoke turn a brief maneuver into a drawing. One path rose almost vertically; another stretched toward the upper right, while the lower aircraft pulled the composition wide. What held my attention was the space opening between them. For this instant, each plane marked a different direction, yet the lingering white trails still bound them to the same passage through the blue.
