About this piece
A fighter jet occupies the lower center of a blue sky, framed by long, curling flare trails. Bright light catches its angular surfaces, while orange points of combustion punctuate the white smoke. The composition holds the aircraft's precise geometry against an expansive, dissolving pattern.
The story
On the first day of 2019, the sky fills with lines that cannot stay. Orange flares glow at the ends of white trails, their sharp light set against the deep blue. Between them, the aircraft holds its compact, metallic shape while smoke loosens into translucent folds. The new year opens here without a horizon, only a brief pattern already coming apart.
