Strong sunlight illuminates a weathered yellow door, its recessed arch casting a curved shadow across the wooden planks. Reddish masonry, white plaster, and paired terracotta planters frame the entrance in a composition of warm color and sharply defined texture.
The story
I stopped before this doorway because the light seemed to have drawn a second arch inside the first. The yellow wood held its brightness against the white wall, while the cacti stood on either side, their spines tracing fine shadows. I framed the closed entrance with the rough stone step beneath it. What stayed with me was the balance: a place firmly shut, yet full of warmth.
