Four jets form a repeating diagonal rhythm, their blue fuselages edged with bright yellow against an uninterrupted sky. White smoke trails extend behind them, balancing the aircraft’s sharp geometry with soft, dispersing lines.

The story

I followed the formation through the viewfinder, watching the spaces between the aircraft as closely as the aircraft themselves. Against the blue, each yellow marking became a small point of orientation, repeated four times. I wanted to hold the instant when the bank brought their wings into this shared alignment. Behind them, the smoke was already loosening, leaving a softer record of the precise movement I had just photographed.
