About this piece
A close view of paired car headlights reveals engraved scrollwork, ribbed glass, and small purple decorative accents. Brilliant blue reflections and sharp points of light sweep across the chrome, while the angled framing turns automotive ornament into a dense composition of curves and lines.
The story
On this November day, light gathers along the polished rims and breaks into blue ribbons. The glass holds its fine vertical ridges beneath the curved chrome shades. Engraved leaves and curls bring a delicate, almost textile-like surface to the metal. Within the tight frame, the road disappears; only ornament, reflection, and the quiet presence of the machine remain.
