A concrete bridge crosses a steep coastal ravine, its broad arch and repeated columns receding toward a rocky headland. Soft light warms the weathered structure and ochre foreground, while green vegetation and a silvery ocean temper the palette. The diagonal sweep of the roadway gives the still landscape a measured sense of passage.
The story
Late June light spreads through the cloud cover, touching concrete, succulent leaves, and bare earth. The bridge reaches across the ravine in a long succession of narrow openings, each holding a fragment of hillside or sky. Below its arch, green growth follows the folds of the land. Beyond the headland, the ocean opens into pale horizontal bands, a quiet counterpoint to the steepness of the shore.
