The story
On this November day, gold gathers beneath the clouds while the sea holds its blue. A person with a surfboard stands at the edge of the foam, between the textured sand and the next incoming wave. The palm reaches over the beach in a long, dark curve, its green fronds catching the light. Farther along the shore, figures grow small and the coastline dissolves into haze. Each wash of water leaves a bright margin on the sand.
