A concrete bridge on the left and a weathered steel span on the right recede toward a low, distant shoreline. Warm light catches their repeating supports and pools in reflections across the blue water, while an expansive cloud-streaked sky lends the ordered composition a feeling of openness and calm.
The story
Late August light rests on the bridge piers, turning their faces gold above the water. Small ripples loosen each reflection into wavering bands. On either side, the crossings narrow toward the horizon, their separate rhythms meeting in the distance. Between them, the eye finds an open stretch of blue and lingers there.
