The Shore Bends Skyward

About this piece
A deeply curved palm sweeps from the sandy foreground toward the upper right, its spreading fronds framing a golden sky and low sun. Dark shoreline rocks anchor the composition, while reflected light traces the rippled sea. The strong diagonal trunk brings a sense of movement to an otherwise quiet coastal scene.
The story
Late November finds the shore filled with gold. The palm stretches low across the sand before turning upward, its rough trunk carrying the eye toward the open water. Fronds stir overhead, their narrow tips softened by motion. Small waves fold against the rocks, and the sun rests just above the horizon. Footprints remain in the foreground, but the shore itself is empty.
