A low sun illuminates the ocean in amber, its reflection spreading across successive bands of surf toward the sandy foreground. Dark clouds frame the luminous sky, while a small group of silhouetted seabirds interrupts the horizontal composition with a flicker of movement.
The story
On this July day, the sun rests just above the horizon, and gold gathers in the troughs between waves. Foam advances across the sand, thins, and slips back into darker water. A few seabirds wheel against the bright sky, their wings briefly distinct beneath the clouds. The shore holds a steady rhythm beneath the changing light.
