The story

Late September finds the shore beneath a sky of heavy clouds and silver edges. The moon rests just above the lighthouse, a second light beyond the reach of its metal frame. Palms gather in shadow around the tower's base, where sand meets the dark water. Across the foreground, ripples break the reflected glow into small, shifting pieces. The tower holds its place while the water carries the light onward.
