A weathered concrete bridge recedes toward the horizon, its repeating arches tracing a measured line across luminous turquoise water. Sunlight catches the inner curves of the supports, while broad shadows deepen the foreground and emphasize the water’s softly blurred surface.
The story
I framed the bridge from beside the water, letting its nearest arch fill the edge of the photograph. My eye kept following the smaller openings outward, until concrete became a thin line against the sea. Beneath that steady geometry, the water softened every boundary between green, turquoise, and shadow. I wanted to hold both sensations in the frame: the weight of something built to endure, and the restless light passing underneath it.
