Double yellow lines draw the eye toward a gentle bend, their color echoed in the sunlit foliage bordering the road. Bare branches and bands of shadow interrupt the autumn gold, giving the open passage a measured rhythm.
The story
I framed the road so its yellow lines would lead into the bend, where the trees close around whatever lies ahead. The gold along the hillside seemed to continue onto the asphalt, while shadows laid darker bands across its surface. I wanted to hold that balance between invitation and uncertainty: a clear way forward, an unseen destination, and autumn filling the edges of the frame.
