The story
On this last day of August, yellow chairs hold the sunlight beside the sea. Their empty seats offer a place to linger, with nothing between the eye and the horizon but rippled blue. A small sailboat rests in the distance, its mast barely interrupting the sky. Along the rough stone edge, the water gathers into darker folds.
