About this piece

Glossy baubles, elongated ornaments and bright hearts hang among mostly bare branches, their saturated colors set against blue sky and white clouds. Warm sunlight picks out the bark and reflective surfaces, while fine suspension threads cross the tree’s angular framework with quiet vertical lines.

The story

Late November brings the language of celebration into the open air. Red and gold ornaments catch the sunlight between branches, and silver spheres hold tiny, curved reflections of greenery. The tree’s rough bark offers a steady counterpoint to their polished skins. Beyond this suspended gathering, clouds leave pale spaces for the eye to rest.
