Three deer share an open lawn with scattered dark birds, framed by towering trees with broad, irregular crowns. Diffuse light beneath a gray sky brings out vivid greens and ochre patches in the grass, while a curving path and distant bench quietly mark the human presence. The animals occupy a narrow band near the foreground, lending scale and stillness to the expansive landscape.
The story
Late June rests beneath a pale ceiling of cloud. Two deer lower their heads toward the grass while an antlered companion stands upright beside them. Dark birds gather across an ochre patch of lawn, their small silhouettes punctuating the green. Beyond them, the path curves past an empty bench and disappears among the trunks. For a moment, the park belongs to these unhurried movements.
