The story
On this November day, the sea gathers into a blue fold before opening into foam. Light passes through the thinning crest, revealing a brief hollow of turquoise. Behind it, the rocks stand dark and rough, their edges unsoftened by the distant haze. The surf spreads toward the narrow strip of shore, and the hollow disappears beneath its own white curtain.
