A small blue boat rests right of center among weathered posts, its dark reflection broken into horizontal bands by gentle ripples. Soft, diffuse light joins the pale sky and open water, while the upright posts give rhythm and scale to an otherwise expansive, quiet composition.
The story
November light settles over the water in muted blue and cream. The boat holds its place among the posts, its red rim a slender thread of warmth. Beneath the hull, each ripple stretches and loosens the reflected blue. Beyond this small mooring, the horizon offers only a fine line between water and sky.
