The story

Early December finds this coast bright with gold and green. Cloud gathers along the mountain, but sunlight reaches the grass and exposes the broken faces of the cliffs. Below, narrow seams of foam appear where the water meets the rock. The shore curves away into blue distance, leaving the eye to rest on the level horizon.
