The story
On this December day, the calendar finds little expression in the green palm crowns and gold-lit sand. Light gathers along the edges of the wooden tables, leaving their undersides in deep shade. Birds cross the narrow band between sea and sky while the volleyball nets stretch across the distance. For a moment, the empty benches offer nothing to do but watch the horizon.
