Where Ochre Meets Blue

About this piece

Three ochre ceramic vessels gather against the curved walls of a whitewashed terrace overlooking deep blue water and a rocky shoreline. Strong sunlight describes the rounded architecture and textured pottery, while angular shadows cross the floor. The elevated composition balances an intimate domestic space with the open expanse beyond.

The story

Late July light settles on the white walls and warms the ochre vessels. Small stems rise from two of the pots, their loose shapes interrupting the terrace’s smooth curves. Below, fine ripples gather across the blue water beside the dark, stony shore. Shadows stretch over the empty floor, giving the stillness a measured shape.
