The story

Late June gathers in the meadow, where green blades carry a fine dusting of gold. Beyond the grasses, conifers rise in uneven ranks, their branches alternating between brightness and deep shade. Light traces the creases of the great rock wall and leaves the pointed summit suspended against orange sky. For a moment, the smallest seed head and the highest stone share the same warmth.
