Curves Of Coral

About this piece
Two flamingos fill the frame, their curved necks overlapping above dense layers of coral and pale pink plumage. Strong light reveals fine feather textures and golden eyes against shadowed tree trunks and hanging moss. The close crop turns their bent postures into an intricate, quietly animated composition.
The story
On this December day, light gathers along the flamingos’ feathers while the trees behind them recede into darkness. One head bows low; the other rests higher within the overlapping curves. Pale feathers lift in soft layers beside the vivid orange necks, each black-tipped bill adding a sharp edge. Near the year’s end, the frame holds a small interval of brightness and watchful quiet.
