A long pier extends from the upper right toward a small roofed shelter, its concrete supports forming a receding rhythm across the water. The low sun shines through a narrow gap between pillars, casting a broken orange reflection beneath a sky of gold and deep violet. Cool shadows under the deck give weight and stillness to the luminous coastal scene.

The story

On this February evening, the horizon glows orange beneath a broad bank of purple cloud. Small figures gather along the railing, suspended between the dark structure and the open sky. Between two supports, the sun appears as a sharp point of light, its reflection trembling across the ripples. The pier reaches outward while the water quietly breaks its shadow into pieces.
