About this piece
Six Canada geese form a loose procession across water bright with yellow-green reflections. The grassy bank anchors the upper edge, while the birds and their wavering reflections establish a measured rhythm across the lower frame. Strong light lends the quiet scene an almost luminous intensity.
The story
July light spreads across the water, turning the reflected bank into a field of green and gold. Six geese drift through its brightness, their dark necks rising above the ripples. Each leaves a narrow wake that meets and mingles with the others. Along the grassy edge, the reflected stems tremble, and the procession carries on without hurry.
