The story

June light gathers in the clouds and leaves a golden reflection across the shallows. Along the pier, passing figures grow faint while the railings remain sharply drawn. Below, the water softens around each concrete support, carrying its movement toward the sand. Small tangles of seaweed rest at the edge of that motion, their crisp textures anchoring a world that otherwise seems to drift.
