About this piece

The story
On this March day, the sun rests close to the waterline, spreading gold across the sea. A figure on the tower reaches an arm into the luminous space beyond the railing. Below, curved tire tracks cross the sand, their edges catching the same warm light. Small waves gather along the shore, while a distant vessel makes a dark mark on the horizon.
