The story
Late September light rests on the lighthouse’s metal framework and the palms gathered around its base. A wave rises along the rocks, turning briefly translucent before opening into white spray. Behind the tower, roofs settle into a broad canopy of green; ahead, the water deepens from turquoise to blue. Each breaking crest carries the eye shoreward, while the tower holds its place beneath the clear sky.
