A narrow coastal lane curves between whitewashed walls and coral-colored facades toward an arched church tower crowned by a cross. Strong sunlight reveals the plaster’s texture and casts a patterned gate shadow across the foreground, while sea and distant cliffs open beneath an expansive blue sky. The composition balances the close enclosure of the passage with the stillness of the horizon.
The story
Late July light gathers on the white walls, warming their edges to cream. Across the empty lane, the gate’s shadow draws a temporary lattice on the ground. Coral plaster holds a deeper warmth beside the tower’s pale arches. Beyond the low wall, the sea stretches toward distant cliffs, and the passage offers a quiet interval between shade and open blue.
